Expert, personalized, local and global.
Founded in 1972 by four young entrepreneurs, CSI started as a computer retailer in Oklahoma. Ken Steinback, one of the founders, led CSI for decades. By 1981, the company had made rental its core business and moved its headquarters to St. Louis. CSI’s international expansion began in 1995 with the opening of CSI Canada and we have grown steadily ever since. We now have over 1,700 employees and more than 70 offices worldwide, while providing rental solutions in 50 countries.
Our service offering grew again when we purchased EPC in 1998; The company takes care of managing all the equipment at the end of the rental. This allowed us to gain complete control of our end-of-charter process. Since then, CSI and EPC have worked hand in hand to provide customers with the best possible rental experience. EPC has also grown internationally and is now one of the world’s leading ITAD providers.
On June 10, 2016, Tokyo Century Corporation (formerly Century Tokyo Leasing) acquired ownership of CSI from Ken and the other employee shareholders. We continue to operate as we have always done, providing personal attention, robust services and flexible solutions, with the ability to manage international opportunities and increased funding capacity.
